Privacy policy

This is a courtesy translation. The Portuguese version, governed by Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), is the one that prevails.

This website presents Reserva Linha Imperial and lets you check availability on WhatsApp. Here we explain, plainly, what data passes through the site, what it is used for and how you can exercise your rights under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).

1. Who is responsible

Reserva Linha Imperial, a vacation rental at Loteamento Montes Verdes (Dos Boêmios), Nova Petrópolis/RS, Brazil, postal code 95150-000, managed by the host Livia, is responsible (the controller) for the data processed through this site. Privacy contact: WhatsApp +55 51 99549-8419.

2. What data passes through the site

• Availability request: the name, WhatsApp number, check-in and check-out dates and number of guests you fill in on the form.
• Technical access logs: like any website, the server automatically logs technical data about visits (IP address, date and time, page visited and browser type).

Form data is not sent to our server or stored by the site. It stays in your browser and is only used to compose the message that opens in WhatsApp. Your request only reaches the host if you send that message in WhatsApp.

3. How we use it and on what legal basis

• Replying to your request, confirming dates and arranging the booking: preliminary steps to a contract, at your request (art. 7, V, of the LGPD).
• Technical logs: keeping the site secure and working (legitimate interest, art. 7, IX) and complying with legal obligations, such as those of Brazil's Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet) (art. 7, II).

We do not sell data, we do not use your data for advertising and we do not send messages unless you have started the conversation.

4. Third-party services

• WhatsApp (Meta): the conversation takes place on WhatsApp and follows the app's own privacy policy.
• Google Maps: the map in the Location section is loaded from Google when you reach it. Google may collect browsing data under its own privacy policy.
• Airbnb: the “View on Airbnb” and “View profile” links lead to the Airbnb website, which has its own policy.

The site's photos, videos and fonts are served from our own server, with no third-party services.

5. Cookies

This site does not use its own cookies or any analytics, tracking or advertising tools. That is why there is no cookie banner. Only the Google map, once loaded, may use Google's own cookies.

6. How long we keep data

The site does not keep form data. Booking conversations remain in the host's WhatsApp for as long as needed to assist you and meet legal obligations. Technical access logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted, subject to the period required by law.

7. Your rights

Under the LGPD (art. 18), you may request at any time:

• confirmation that we process your data, and access to it;
• correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
• anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in breach of the law;
• portability, and information about whom the data has been shared with;
• deletion of data processed with your consent, and withdrawal of that consent.

8. Security

The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and has no login area or visitor database.
